Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and has worked within the field of personal injury for the last 14 years at Blake Lapthorn. Claire has acted for both Claimants and Defendants throughout her legal career and has the unique ability to see claims from both sides. She specialises in Accidents at Work, Industrial Disease and Acquired Brain Injury, although she has dealt with all types of claims from trips and slips to falls from height, chemical exposure, defective equipment and vibrating machinery. She has represented interested parties at inquests and liaised with the HSE. She has given training and advised clients on how to improve their claims record/ accident recording/ reporting and claims investigation. Claire heads the Multi track team and currently deals with claims of utmost severity. Her current caseload (for both Claimants and Defendants) includes fatal accident cases as a result of accidents at work and exposure to asbestos as well as spinal injuries, amputations and very severe brain injury.
